Thursday 10 April 2008
Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester, Gloucestershire

Estate ownership brings with it a unique portfolio of risk exposure - historic houses and their contents, let residential and commercial property, in hand or tenanted farms and, potentially, an array of land use and diversification enterprises. Practical, environmental and legal pressures continue to abound and risk management becomes even more critical as part of the management of an estate. Property and liability insurances, the most common tool in mitigating risk exposures, remain a complex matter.

It is often said that an insurance policy is never tested properly until a claim is made. At the point of claim, the extent of policy cover, the adequacy of sums insured and the fine print of policy wordings all come under close scrutiny. As loss adjusters, Agrical operates at this 'sharp end' and, with assistance from other professionals who specialise in this area of the market, we are well placed to offer a valuable insight into risk assessment, risk management, insurance protection and the claims process.

This conference has been designed to cover all core elements and topical issues that relate to the evaluation of risk and insurance on estates and will attract a wide audience including estate owners, estate and farm managers, land agents, insurance professionals and other advisers.
