We are committed to practices which, where at all possible, benefit the environment and the communities that we work in. We try to reduce the impact our business has on the environment.
Recycling & Waste Minimisation
We recycle our office equipment where possible - from mobile phones, IT equipment and printer toner cartridges (which we send to a registered charity which in turn receives money for the cartridges) to everyday items such as paper, card, cans and glass. All of which has greatly reduced our landfill waste. We use recycled products, including card and toilet paper. Our claims database and IT systems have reduced reliance on paper files.
Responsible Travel Choices
We have set up offices around the country, local to our Adjusters homes, and this reduces the number of commuter miles. Conference calls are regularly held in place of meetings, to avoid travel. The nature of our business requires our Adjusters to travel by car to claims within their region, so our company car policy encourages economical use of cars by restricting choice to the most efficient models in their class and only using cars with class leading emission levels; thus providing both financial and environmental benefits.
Energy Consumption
Our employees ensure that their computer equipment is turned off, and not left on stand-by, when not in use to reduce energy consumption. Likewise, we monitor our office buildings for their energy efficiency in terms of heating systems, insulation and lighting.
Community
When choosing suppliers for office resources and services we aim to use locally based companies, this has the benefit of supporting local business and reduces delivery distances.
